Worth the climb

Located high on a hill overlooking Positano with amazing views of the coast and the town, this is a newly refurbished house with pleasant well equipped suites. The family gave excellent personal service, and nothing was too much trouble. The home made cakes for breakfast were great, too!

Rifugio degli Dei, Positano

We stayed one week at Rifugio degli Dei in Positano, and enjoyed every single moment there. Davide and his family really made us feel at home. The apartments are super-clean, very beautifully furnished and decorated, and the view to the sea and Positano is gorgeous! Breakfast is delicious, especially the home-made marmalades and the best lemon cake in town. We are looking forward to coming back to Positano and Rifugio degli Dei again next year.

Stunning Location, Fantastic Apartment and Great S

Catch Bus from Sorrento or Amalfi get off at Arienzo (@ 3 stops after Positano or just after San Pietro Hotel coming from Amalfi.) Call David and he will come down & organise your luggage or walk up 3 flights of steps 2nd house on left . There are plenty of steps so if you are planning to cook grab some supplies in Positano before arriving. Yes you can cook or plenty of restaurants in easy walking or bus distance. Great spot to access Positano or the " Sentiero degli Dei" you can leave straight from your front balcony & walk up to Nocelle & on to Bomerano. Davids Mother cooks a fantastic breakfast, excellent value. Brian & Dawn

Fantastic!!!

This place is absolutely fantstic!!! The family will do anything to help you and make you feel good. It is very close to Positano. You can walk there (it takes 10 minutes) and very close to Arienzo beach (5 min walk). If you consider the price we have paid, it is definetely way cheaper than other places in town where you easily pay 150 eur per night and you will not find anything like this. It is a peaceful place, very well made and managed by wonderful people. I would defenitely reccomend this place. And I cant wait to go back there for a long weekend.

Worth Every Step

We spent 6 days in August and had an amazing holiday. The views from this property are stunning to say the least. Each apartment has its own private outdoor area that we found lovely to sit, relax, have drink and watch the activity out on the water below. The apartment itself was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our hosts Anna, Paulo, David and Simone, supplied us with vegies grown on the property which we cooked up and ate for lunch or dinner. Breakfast in the morning was out on the terrace and most mornings it was difficult to tear ourselves away. Although there are a large number of steps to reach the property it kept the weight off and the view far outweighed the effort. To me I couldn’t have found better accommodation to experience Positano, we’ll be back!

Wow! What a find! We really enjoyed our stay at Ri

If you are looking for accommodation in Positano then stop now - you've found it! Here's a few comments from our recent stay .... Location Dont let the 300 or so steps put you off this place, it is worth the climb. The view is amazing from the balcony and it is lovely in the evening when the lights start to come on in Positano town and the sun sets behind the cliff. The steps are well lit at night and go through lovely greenery/ gardens. The steps start from the main road which is a 10-15 min walk into Poisitano town. The same steps also lead to the mountain village of Nocelle - quaint village with fabulous views. About another 700 steps or so though! Positano is very touristy but enjoyably so. Its not like Amalfi or Sorrento which are big and have hoards of tourists and english pubs. It is so quaint and has a local feel to it. You can also get the boat to Capri from here so very convenient. We went to Vincenzos restaurant and Brunates? Both great. Vinenzos had a great atmosphere, musicians and a funny maitred. Food was excellent and dessert choice is out of this world. Also the bar at Hotel Poisideon (just down the road from Vincenzos) is great. Big log fire, lots of canapes served with your drinks, great service, piano man - pure luxury! Parkign on the main road is absolutely fine aswell.

Set high above Positano

This place is made by its location and the wonderful family who run it. It is a small place, set high up the steep steps from Positano. But the climb (for it is accessible on foot only) is well worth it. The accommodation is excellent, the views magnificent and the family who run it do a great job and are delightful company. For a quiet stay it is absolutely charming.

Warm , peaceful, very friendly, Felt like home

We were greeted by Davide on the main road and did not know what to expect. We were told that to get to this place we had to climb over 250 steps. I was worried about the luggage but to my surprize Davide but our luggage on a lift, therefore no worries. As we climbed the stairs we kept asking ourselves, what did we get ourselves into. It was worth the climb because when we got there we were greeted to a little bit of heaven. The views are breathtaking, the property is beautiful, the room was delightful and very clean but most of all the hosts made us feel like we were part of the family. Davide and his mother Anna bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. When I go back to Positano there is only one place that I will go to. Thank you Davide and thank you Anna for your warmth and incredible cooking. We miss you. Your friends Luigi(Gino) and Dana

Beautiful, friendly, elegant, delicious, authentic

Refugio degli Dei was the best place, in all ways, that my wife and I stayed during our month in Italia. A real agriturismo, with tomatoes, eggplant, figs, lemons, squash, herbs, and more, raised right next to our own spacious and fully equipped apartment with adjacent private terrace. The view of the sea directly below and the village of Positano, a kilometer to the west was breathtaking. Our hosts, the family of Ottavio, Anna, Paulo, Mauro, Davide, and Simone, were warm and gracious, making every effort to ensure we were well taken care of--while at the same time giving us total privacy. Sparkling clean and exquisitely elegant, and at the same time not over-the-top fancy, the trek up 300 stairs was more than worth every single step! My wife and I recommend this place without any qualifications! Rick and Chris, Seattle, WA

Of all the places in Italy, you MUST stay here

I traveled around Italy for a month with a friend, and we stayed in several places around the country. Nothing compared to Rifugio Degli Dei. The family was so accommodating and friendly. The views, the food, and the company were absolutely fantastic. Please, do me a favor, and stay here. You won't regret it.
